Indian Hollow/ Columbia Station is a large-scale habitat restoration and wetland mitigation project that includes freshwater marshes, wet prairies, forested floodplain, wetland forests and upland habitat. This project demonstrates Envirotech's ability to balance regulatory and budget requirements with the realities of restoration. The complexity of the regulatory and restoration issues surrounding this project included brokering a first of its kind agreement between multiple government agencies, the restoration of 265 acres over a series of sites, and the development of an appropriate restoration regime. The mitigation sites have been integrated into the Lorain County Metropolitan Park District and become a valuable resource for recreation and environmental education.
