Salamander Run is a 125-acre parcel located in Butler County acquired by Three Valley Conservation Trust and donated, after restoration, to MetroParks of Butler County. The habitat restoration focused on restoring approximately 21 acres of prairie and herbaceous wetlands within a cultivated field, improvements to a pond, development of vernal pools, and installation of woody species in select areas of the forest following treatment for invasive Lonicera species. Plants provided by the Envirotech nursery included 8,117 wetland forbs and grasses and 10,008 trees and shrubs.
